Hi Diana,
Unfortunatly I don't know much about Charles Dupont's past but I believe he came from Quebec. I've got a nice lady looking up Charles death date in The St. Mary's Church record book. He his buried in their Cemetary along with his wife and other family members.
He was married in 1861 at the above mentioned Church and figuring that out he would only have been 13yrs old so I have my doubts unless the dates are screwed up somewhere.
