I looking for information on the family of Francois Noel Dupont. He is said to have be a native of Canada born abt: 1738 according to the 1770 Militia List of Second German Coast ( St John the Baptist Parish) contained on pages 73-75 of Robichaux' LOUISIANA CENSUS AND MILITIA LIST VOLUME I: 1770-1789. Francois N. DuPont's Wife was Magdeleine Michel.
I'm attempting to continue tracing our family Genealogy, Progenitor and when the family first arrived from France to Canada. Francois Noel Dupont is my 6th Generation Great Grandfather. Any assistance you maybe have that would help my research would be greatly appreciated.
