What I have on Charles Dupont and Marie Rose Nucert (Nucere): m. 27 Mar 1838; children: Merante Dupont b. c1821, bapt. 26 Apr 1824; Elizabeth Dupont b. 8 Jul 1831, bapt. 25 Aug 1831; Celestin Dupont m. 27 Aug 1838 to Aurelien Gagnard; Jean Baptiste Dupont m. 27 Mar 1838 to Marie Zelanie Guillory; Onezieme Dupont m. 19 May 1835 to Elise Guillot. Interesting note: Marie Rose Nucert (Nucere) is listed as "a woman of color" on the birth record of her son Merante Dupont. Does anyone know if she was in fact a negro or an indian?
