Hi, Sam. My name is Keith Dunwody. I am, by all accounts, a great great (great?) grandson of one Bentley Dunwoody. Probably the one and the same. I don't know much but I wanted to begin a conversation and maybe we can find out more. My dad, Donald Blake (after the Mother's side) Dunwoody, was born in Sacramento, if I remember correctly, in 1925, and died here in the San Francisco Bay Area in 1977. He did a genealogy of the family tree. I have asked my brother, Mark, if he knows where it is. Dad used to say that o'l Ben got to hear Lincoln speak, they say it was the Gettysburg address! Hmmm... In any case, it was passed along that Honest Abe had a rather high voice. Also, legend had it that Ben was a Marhsall in Dodge City, KS at one point and knew some of the great gunslingers of the day. And that he was quite a shot himself. Of course, I can't verify it, but that's what I was told. If we turn up anything else we'll let you know. I remember dad telling us that he traced the family roots back as far as Abigail Adams' family, which gives credence to the Philadelphia story. If you have any good information for us, please let me know and I will share whatever I can.
