Steve and Vera, I tried your old email addresses and neither one worked. I hope this will get to you or you will see it. Please email me. I have found some new and very interesting info about Edmund, Moores, and Moores's second wife, Elizabeth Sutherland who he married Oct. 16, 1828, after the death of Cynthia Avery. Elizabeth was from Elizabethtown. They are in the 1851 census Edwardsburg, Grenville, Ontario. I believe Moores had more children: Lorenzo (named after daughter Ruth's husband Lorenzo Ackerman??) born 1835, married Ann Morey; Annie b. 1830, Mary b. 1837, and William b. 1840. There is a Densmore Creek near Edwardsburgh. There is also a Densmore Road and Bay on Wellesley Island near Alexandria, NY. I believe this may be named for Edmund. The time line I have so far for Moores is possibly: 1788 (7/9) born Vermont. 1808 Yonge, Ontario, Canada with father (?) Joseph and brother (?) William. 1810 Yonge with Joseph and William and married Cynthia. 1811 Yonge, son Edmund in census, but Joseph and William no longer there. 1812 Ruth born in Canada. Moores in War of 1812 (which side??). 1828 son Edmund marries in Yonge area. Moores marries Elizabeth 1828. Possible son or nephew Charles marries soon after to Louisa Mallory in 1829. 1830-1840 children in Canada with Elizabeth. May be with Edmund in 1840 Clayton, Jefferson, NY census (there is a man his age living with them, may be someone else...). 1851 Edwardsburgh, Grenville, Ontario census. 1871 died at home of Ruth and Lorenzo Ackerman in Three Mile Bay, NY and buried in cemetery there. (Wife Cynthia may be buried in Prescott, Leeds, Ontario). Much of this is educated guess work, but it seems to fit together. If anyone has info on the Joseph and William Dunsmore who lived in Yonge, where they came from, where they went please chime in!!
