i am trying to find info. on my mother's family.
this is what i have down for her family on the dunphy/dumphey lines:
1.) joseph dumphey (my gg-grandfather) b. 1799 in parish of ludlow, n.b., md. hannah elizabeth wasson b. feb. 19,1808 in parish of ludlow, n.b, dau. of john & elizabeth wasson
hannah d. apr. 1,1871, bur. athorn cemetery in starks, me., joseph d. apr. 11,1865, bur. in the same cemetery.
thier children i have listed:
1.) thomas sherman dumphey b. 1836, drowned in kennebec river in 1875, md. phoebe jones b. 1841, d. 1902, bur. athorn cem. in starks, me.
2.) olive dumphey md. franklin wood.
3.) clarissa dumphey md. daniel waugh.
4.) elizabeth ann dumphey b. 1831 starks, me., d. nov. 9,1910 of stomache cancer, md. jabez nevens b. aug. 5,1823 in strong, me. bur. in weston cem. madison, me., son of amaziah & aria (pierce) nevens.
5.) john w. dumphey b. 1836, d. 1864, md. lucinda simmons b. 1840, d. jan. 1,1913, dau. of john simmons.
6.) robert dumphey (my g-grandfather) b. may 4,1822 md.(1)apr. 23,1860 in anson, me. to mercy lancaster b. 1842, dau. of joseph & roselinda lancaster, d. apr. 12,1870. robert md.(2) aug. 20,1870 in anson, me. to jane washburn b. dec. 20, 1847, dau. of henry & mary a. (spaulding) washburn. robert d. 1908 in carrabassett, me.
