Dorothy-You're welcome. I have looking into the DNA research a bit. In our line though we don't come down through a female Dunn which hinders some of the DNA testing. I checked the DAR website and the only descendants of Pvt. William Dunn that have joined the DAR are descended through his son Thomas so I wasn't able to help you that way, sorry. My line is through Thomas Dunn and Mary Ellen Chambers daughter, Mary Ellen Dunn. I am in contact with Dunn cousins who are descended through Thomas Dunn and Mary Ellen Chambers son, William Howard Dunn. A few of the women have joined the DAR under William Dunn also. We haven't met anyone yet from the other children of Thomas Dunn and Mary Ellen Chambers nor from Thomas Dunn's father and mother (Pvt. William Dunn and Catherine Walters).
