I have the parents of John L. Nelson as John Nelson and Francis Anderson Armistead (2nd wife), first wife as Rebecca Woodleif. Their children were: Anne, Elizabeth, Hepsibah, Mary, Sarah Phillip, William, Frances Anderson, Rebekah, Lucy Epps, Catherine Griffin, John L. and Salmon Hughes. I have birthdates for Frances Anderson and everyone after her, I believe those were the children from the second marriage and the rest were from the first marriage. John Nelson (Sr.) was born in York Co, VA and died in Louisa Co., VA. and was a Colonal in the Revolutionary War. Have John L. Nelson's birthdate as Sept 17, 1786, which would have only been 10 years after the signing of the Declaration in 1776, and he would not have been a first cousin, but a 2nd or 3rd cousin to Thomas.
