Mrs. Greening:
My name is Allen Dunn, and I'm the great-grandson of James Henry Dunn and Celinda Taylor and the self-appointed historian of our particular limb of the family tree. My grandfather was William Dunn (1868 - 1949), your husband's apparent great-uncle.
I, too, have ran into a virtual dead-end when it comes to James Henry's family history. Here's all I know: born in Indiana in 1834 to a father born in Indiana and a mother born in New York, and shows up in the 1850 census, living in Scott County, IL, with two older women (a 15-year-old boarder in their home, perhaps?)
So you can better see how my family fits with yours, I tried sending an e-mail message to your AOL address (janicegreening@aolcom) with a PDF printout of William Dunn's descendants attached, but it bounced back as "address unknown." If you'll send to me an updated address (snail- or e-mail), I'll try again. I'd very much appreciate something similar from you, so I can fill in your family's blanks.
Thanks! Hope to "talk" to you soon.
