I am trying to find a death date for Joseph Samuel Dunn, Jr. The birth date that I have found for him is 4/14/1836. He was first a 1st Lieutenant in Company H, 3rd NC infantry and resigned. He then enlisted as a Private in Company F, 46th NC infantry. He applied for a pension on 7/1/1901 in Durham County, NC. His widow Mary J. Dunn applied for a widow's pension on 5/10/1924 in Durham County, NC. He is buried in the United Confederate Veterans lot in Maplewood cemetery in Durham, NC. I am interested in the death date so that it can be added to a new headstone that will replace the one that is in very bad shape. Thanks in advance.
