Seeking information on John DUNN, who married Rosannah (MATLOCK) LINDSEY on 30 April 1833 in Hendricks County, Indiana.
Was this his first or second marriage? She was previously married to Rollin Lindsey in 1828).
There was another John DUNN in Hendricks County in the 1820s. One of them had a wife named Nancy. Was this the other John, or a previous marriage for the John who married Rosannah?
John and Rosannah DUNN had three children:
James M. DUNN
Mary Ann DUNN
Eliza Jane DUNN, b. ca 1837
In 1850, Eliza Jane is living with her uncle James M. GREGG. What happened to the other children?
John DUNN had numerous real estate dealings in Hendricks County, primarily in Danville. The last was in Dec 1839, when he sold property to his brother-in-law William L. Matlock.
Rosannah died about July 1842, and her estate was probated, suggesting that John had predeceased her.
When did John DUNN die?
Rosannah had two bibles as part of her estate. Is there any possibility that they still exist? One went to another brother-in-law, James McVey
