G.W. Dunn m/1872 Harriet York in MO moved to Ok
Looking for information on the Harriet York who married George W. Dunn in MO maybe. She may have been born in Iowa and he may have been born in TN even though the death certificate for two of his sons, says he was born in MO.The only census entry that I found that I think belongs to this family was 1880 Van Buren, Wright, MO.It gave the information that the father of George W. Dunn was born in Ireland and his mother in VA.I do not know the names of either of these people. It does list children that match with known children. The story has it had there were four sons born in MO and then the family left for TX.This would have been after 1880.The mother died in childbirth along with her child in AR.Both were to have been buried on the banks of the White River.Nothing is known of the surviving husband and his children for about ten years and then they showed up in the Garvin County of OK in 1890.The four sons all grew up in Garvin County and married there. The father remarried and had a second family. He died there in 1907 and is buried in the Elmore City Cemetery.Any clues to research would be greatly appreciated.Contact:[email protected]
