I can not remember whether I answered your reply dated 2/10/07, if not please accept my apologies. This is my tree:
Francis was a very common name in our family also being carried down about four generations.
Francis Hugh John Dunleavey, esquire was born in Middlesex (according to 1851 Census). He worked as a butler in Chelsea for a family and then married a Hannah Dickson (from Scotland) and then most records record his children as being born there. He also had a son Francis Andrew Dunleavey who later went on to marry a Margaret McCann and to father four children, Francis, Alexander, Mary, Charles. Charles Dunleavey was my grandfather. He was born in Dundee. Francis Andrew my gt grandfather was born in Scotland also.
I wonder whether there is a connection somewhere with your family.
