Seeking birth family, marriage and/or death/burial info for William DUNLAP, my g-g-g'father. I've found him for sure in the 1850 Dist. 12, 1860 & 1870 federal census in Blount County, and I think I've got him in the 1840 census.

In 1850 he's listed with children but no spouse:
Hetty DUNLAP        10
Rebecca DUNLAP        8
Jnd DUNLAP        6 [John DUNLAP, my g-g'father]
James DUNLAP 0

In 1860 he is listed (under the surname "DUNLAPP") with a wife, Susan. I'm assuming Susan is a second marriage. I can't be certain who William's first wife was but am guessing it was a Rachel CLAMPET, as there's a record in "Tennessee State Marriages, 1765-2002" for William and Rachel on 12 Mar 1829. It looks like the CLAMPETs may have been neighbors of the DUNLAPs. And in the 1860 census one of the DUNLAP daughters is named "Rachel."

I'm at a brick wall with William - can't find death, burial or birth family info for him, or anything more about the CLAMPET family, either. Some family trees show William in Moniteau County, MO, in 1880 (also dying there), but I've investigated some and I don't think that's correct. Would appreciate any help you can offer. Thanks!
