Searching for information on William Dunlap Esq, shown to be the father of Rahel (which would be German spelling for Rachel) Dunlap BOWERS in Birth and Baptismal Records From the Register of Solomon Church 1793-1850, Forestville, Virginia.
Rockingham County VA Marriages 1778-1850, by Vogt, shows two entries for marriage (1796) Augustus Bowers and *Barbara* Dunlap (daughter of William Dunlap Esquire)[this reference is indexed both on bride and groom] -- and Augustine Bowman and *Rachel* Dunlap.
Statler family records (www.jcn1.com/mabccs/ind0024.htm#10459 e-mail Mary at mabccs@jcn1.com) show her as *Barbara* Dunlap, married Dec 26, 1796.
Maud Horn, Atchley Family History, 2, William Atchley, was born 1813, died 1901. He married Anna Bowers, also from Virginia. Her father, Augustus Bowers, married *Clarissa* Dunlop, of Virginia (signed) W.D. Atchley.
