My Dunlap family from Laurens County, SC, was:

John Dunlap, b. 1739, Ireland, died in Laurens County, SC, married Mary Boyd. John and Mary immigrated to Cumberland County, PA, before moving to Laurens County, SC.

Children were:

Maj. William Dunlap, b. 7/25/1765, Cumberland Co., PA, d. 12/20/1838, Laurens County, SC, married Margaret Hunter and had issue. Maj. Dunlap was one of the few men who survived the Hayes Station massacre by Bloody Bill Cunningham.

John Dunlap, Esq., b. 1754, d. 11/21/1805, married Anne Geddes.

Eleanor Dunlap who married Sheriff Brewster, b. 1763, NC, d. abt. 1839, Paulding County, Ga.

Margaret Dunlap who married Samuel Brewster, d. 1810, Anderson County, SC.

Sarah Dunlap married ? Riggs.

Daughter Dunlap married Benjamin Ross Montgomery.

Daughter Dunlap married James Warnock.

If anyone has more information on this family or is a descendant of John Dunlap, I would be very interested in sharing information.

Thanks,

Bonner Dunlap Sasser
