Spencer Dunham was the son of Walter and Caroline Dunham. He was born in New York but his father Walter died in 1837 in Hopewell, Ontario, New York. His mother Caroline then remarried John Warfield on 1 Oct 1842 in Hopewell, Ontario, NY.John was a widower with children. His first wife Caroline died in Hopewell. He married Mrs. Caroline Dunham and the joint families moved to Mukwanago, Waukesha, Wisconsin circa 1845.Spencer appears in the census in 1850 there.
Walter Dunham(Spencer's father)died in 1837 and is buried in Hopewell Pioneer Cemetery, in Hopewell, NY.There are other Dunham's buried there one being Timothy who may have been Walter's father.
Spencer also had a brother Eli or Ely Dunham.Ely was born 1837 in New York. Both Spencer and Ely can be found in the 1870 census living next door to each other in Humboldt, Brown, Wisconsin. In the 1900 census, Spencer was a widower and his daughter Jenny lived with him. Also living in the household was a Dasie Dunham, born Aug 1879 WI.She is listed as Spencer's niece. That would make her Ely's daughter.
I do not believe that Spencer or Ely came from the Mosley Dunham line.
