I found this site. http://genealogytrails.com/njer/middlesex/piscatawaybirths.htmlhttp://genealogytrails.com/njer/middlesex/piscatawaybirths.html
Piscataway, Middlesex Co., NJ, Births, Town Hall Records, Edmund & Dinah DUNHAM had
Sarah, 30 Apr. 1718
Rebecca, 31 Oct. 1719
Nehemiah, 1 Nov. 1721.
Edward {sic} & Dinah DUNHAM had
Elizabeth, 15 Aug. 1731
Mary, 1 July 1734
Stephen, 1 Oct. 1737.
There must be some missing records between 1721 & 1731, and Edward must have been Edmund.Edmund's will also named ch. Dinah DUNN, Daniel, Peter, Rachel, & Catrine.
There are some online records that indicate that Stephen DUNHAM m. Ruth DUNN, but also some say he m. Elizabeth _.How have you connected Ruth DUNN's husband to Stephen DUNHAM, b. 1737, s/o Edmund?
RootsWeb Family Trees says Stephen DUNHAM served in the Revolution in Col. A. DAYTON's Third Rgt., Hunterdon Co., NJ, Militia, 1776 - 1779, in Capt. Peter DICKERSON's Second Company.RootsWeb quotes "History of Seventh-Day Baptists in WV," that Stephen DUNHAM moved from New Jersey to what's now Monongalia Co., WV. He later was a member of the Seventh Day Baptist Church, Woodbridgetown, Fayette Co., PA, where he is buried.RootsWeb lists children, b. NJ:
Gideon (5 Oct. 1757 - 25 May 1820, Perry, Brown Co., OH, made will 18 May 1820)
Mordecai, (ca. 1761 - Apr. 1850, Milton, Jackson Co., OH) m. Margaret Van GARDEN
Jeremiah
Rebecca, b. ca. 1765, NJ, m. Amos SPENCER
James
Stephen (1773, NJ - 1824, NJ).
Notice that the above children were born in New Jersey, while Jeremiah of Eagle Twp., Brown Co., OH, 1820, & Nineveh Twp., Johnson Co., IN, 1830, was (per RootWeb) b. PA. Perhaps his birthplace is confused with that of his son Jeremiah, who was probably the Jeremiah of Clark Twp., Brown Co., OH, 1820, and of Johnson Co., IN, by 1840 (as were most of his siblings). The 1820 Census showed a Jeremiah 45+, and the 1830 Census showed a Jeremiah 60+.My index of the 1790 Census doesn't show any DUNHAM of Fayette Co., PA.Could the name have been transcribed incorrectly, or was the family still in Virginia?
Jeremiah DUNHAM, b. ca. 176_, m. Anna MILLS, & had in Pennsylvania
perhaps Stephen, ca. 1790, lived in Brown Co., OH.
Sophia (17 Jan. 1792, PA - 27 Nov. 1878) m. 11 Je. 1811, Brown Co., OH, Joab WOODRUFF (16 D 1789 - 1850).
Jeremiah, b. ca. 1795, m. Mary _ ; in 1850, Blue River T., Johnson Co., IN, Jere., 55.
Aaron (15/16 Sep. 1798 {sic, 1797? only six months before next birth?} - 15 Jan. 1839, Ninevah T., Johnson Co., IN) m. 30 D 1819, Elizabeth WHEATON.
Elizabeth, b. 18 Mar. 1799 {sic}, m. ca. 1823, John WILKES, b. ca. 1800, KY. [Did she also m. Peter LANE?]
David (8 Feb. 1801 - 1867) m. ca. 1822, Malinda WILKES (ca. 1805, KY - 1879, IN)
Cynthia (21 Aug. 1809, OH - 10 Je. 1878, IN) m. ca. 1824, David Parkhurst PRITCHARD, b. 16 Sep. 1804, Henry Co., KY.
Anna died, and Jeremiah DUNHAM m2. [May 1815, OH?] Patty WOODRUFF.
None of the above are in the online file of Indiana Marriages to 1850.There are these of Johnson Co., IN, DUNHAM:
Ole Ann / Oseann, 9 Aug. 1832, David ALLEN
Elizabeth, 30 Sep. 1842, Israel R. WATTS
John P., 4 Sep. 1844, Eliz. Ann MULLIS
Franklin, 27 Aug. 1845, Catherine BURTON
Barton S. [s/o David], 30 Jan. 1846, Katharine T. SPARKS
Jerimiah, 17 Feb. 1846, Mary Jane ALLEN
Jesse, 16 Dec. 1846, Mary SIMPSON.
Nelson, 15 Je. 1850, Sarah WATTS
Mary Jane, 3 Aug. 1850, Milton H. BLAND.
Oops, I have company.I have to go now.
