I am trying to get a lead on my great-grandmother.(Looking for a correct date of birth, and parents.)This is the closest that I've found so far.(Fannie & Minnie in the same list.)
My great grandmother is Fannie Maude (Dunham) McCaslin.(She died in southern California in the late 70's or early 80's.)She claimed to be 30 on my grandmother's birth certificate, which would put her birth in 1886.She also documented that she was born in Missouri. However, the 1920 Colorado census (Rio Blanco county, Buford area) shows that her father was born in Missouri, and her mother in Illinois. My grandmother also speaks of an "Aunt Minnie".She has mentioned that her mother might be 2 years older than her father (Ora Everett McCaslin - born in Omaha, NE; and also "30" at Anna Loreen McCaslin's birth 11-25-1916).She also thought that they were both the youngest of 7 children.
Family names that have been mentioned include:Sarah Ann - possible mother's name, LuLu Sizemore (cousin to Anna McCaslin), uncle John, Sam or Fred - possible father of Fannie. Also, several of the family members traveled in the same wagon train of 27 wagons from Oceola to Meeker, Colorado.
Anyone have information that might help me?
Thanks
