Hi, I also am searching for info on this DUNHAM family.
Specificly I am looking for anything concerning Israel DUNHAM and/or his residences and origins .He is the father of William G. DUNHAM b.~1828 , resident York Co.,Upper Canada ~1850, and then moved to Michigan.
Israel DUNHAM was a witness, along with Job DUNHAM at the marriage of James Silver and Sarah DUNHAM 20 Feb. 1833(Marriage Registers of Upper Canada/Canada West- Home Dist. 1808-1836.)
Moses DUNHAM married Eliza Robinson 27 Jan. 1833,witnesses were Job DUNHAM and Almonson Tupperas recorded in the same register.
Moses and Job were the sons of Job DUNHAM but I believe the Job DUNHAM who was the witness here was Job Sr. as Job Jr. was born ~1828.
Job DUNHAM b.~1788 who married Elizabeth Jacobs in 1810 in Fredericksburg, Upper Canada may also be the DUNHAM on the milita role of Prince Edward Co. in 1822 when at the age of 34 yrs. ( I have seen this listed as both Job and John DUNHAM).
Israel DUNHAM was probably a relative of some sort.Moses DUNHAM was the son I think of Job and Elizabeth . These DUNHAMs end up in Michigan by 1840 along with some Silver,Clapp, and other families from the Bay of Quinte area.
I would like to share info concerning these families with anyone else. BFLEW
