Dear Bernard, your message is quite old but I have just come across it. CPO Bill Dungatge is my Dad and he is still very much in the land of the living! He ended up living in portsmouth having stayed in the navy till he retired. He worked at the naval college in dartmouth for a while and then was mainly shore based at HMS Excellent and Fraser Gunnery Range and also at ASWE in Portsmouth.
