I am researching James Dungate c 1800 on the 1851 census it gives 1787 so do not know when he was born but it oes give East Grinstead as place of birth. The link is not a blod link but that of a second marriage of Richard James Dungate born 1843 a railway Inspector, mother Rebecca Mazey second wife of James Dungate (first wife was Sarah Lucas) had one child Caroline 1838 before she died in 1840.
I have had a good search and find births of the era I need hard to find anyone got any tips please.
