My greatgrandfather Thomas Nelson Dungan (b. 1839)who was married to Joanna McKee was raised near Smyth Co. in Glade Spring, VA. The whole family came out to California in 1894. We have a family bible that seems to have been from the family of James V.Dungan (b. 1813) who was the son of John R. Dungan who was married to Rebekah, but I don't know the exact connection to Thomas Nelson.
