Hi All,
Here's some info I located while researching my ROBERTSON Family:
CUNNINGHAM LAIR
Volume XIV, Issue 3
"Col. Robertson's Will and the Maury Co. deed of sale exclude James C. Richardson and his brothers as grandchildren of Col. Charles Robertson and Susanna Nichols, and in his Davidson Co. TN will of July 7, 1805, Charles Robertson, General Robertson's brother, named his wife as Susannah and his children as James, Christopher, Polly, Elijah, Mark, Clairborne, Rhonda and Susannah and Elizabeth Evans (Will for Charles Robertson, Davidson Co., TN Will BK 3, 67). Another child is proven by a 1799 deed through which Charles Robertson gave his daughter, NANCY PIERCE, and her husband, GEORGE, 100 acres of land in Davison Co. (Davison Co. TN Deed BK E, 200). Susannah Robertson, the daughter, married Booker Richardson in Davison Co. on Aug 27, 1818, (Davidson Co. TN Marriage BK 1, 197)"
There is some controversy as to which CHARLES ROBERTSON married SUSANNAH CUNNINGHAM.
This does prove, however, that CHARLES ROBERTSON s/o JOHN RANDOLPH ROBERTSON (and brother of Gen. ROBERTSON), was the father of NANCY ROBERTSON PIERCE.
I noticed that the name CHARLES B. ROBERTSON has been used. Does anyone know where the "B" as a middle initial is documented?
Still working on the CUNNINGHAM issue.
