Hi--I have been doing some research lately on the Lobb family of VA/KY/MO and we have a Jacquiline Aquilla Lobb who moved to Missouri in the mid 1800's.His father was William Lobb who was married to Elizabeth Lewis.I believe the Jaqueline Lewis who witnessed your George Washington White will of 1824 to be a brother of Elizabeth Lewis, wife of William Lobb.I notice that you weren't quite sure of the name of the appraiser for this will as being William Cobb or Lobb.I feel pretty certain that it would be our William Lobb who was living in KY at this time. (William Lobb Sr. had a son named William also but due to the time frame, I feel that the William who appraised the estate was probably Senior.
Do you know what county George Washington White was living in when this will was probated?I ask because I am missing William Sr. in the 1820 census and maybe I am looking in the wrong county.
This family of Lobbs married into the Horton family of KY also. One of William's daughters married a Horton and also William Lobb's brother Chapman married Johanna Horton.
Thanks for any input.Ginger
