Marriage records for Greene Co, TN show Mary's brother, John, m Mary Fann, but a descendant thought it should be Fain. I have penciled in the surname of Cox for husband of Mary, but pencil tells me I don't have proof, and wouldn't you know I didn't put a note of where I even got the Cox surname. Since you have Finn, I would go with the Fann name and research it. Siblings from one family often married siblings from same neighboring families. I descend from sibling Elizabeth who m Adam Miller. All of the ch of James are listed, with full birthdates, in his Rev. War pension file. There are about 90 pages in his pension file, but about half are early correspondence requesting info on James. There are sources of info on Margaret's father, Jeremiah Dungan, as he built a mill in 1770's in Washington Co, TN and it now is an historical landmark.
