The following notarized document is in my possession:
H. Clifford Campion, Jr., 513 So. Orange Ave., Media, Penna., U.S.A.
Copied May 30 - 1909 from the Family Bible of Josiah Dungan which was then in the Possession of Maria Dungan Campion of Atlantic City, N.J. This bible was covered with Leather tanned by Josiah Dungan who was a tanner by trade having learned his trade as apprentice to Joseph Butterworth his father-in-law.
"Josiah Dungan b. March 20 - 1771 died Aug. 20 - 1811"
"Mary Dungan wife of Josiah b. Nov. 14 - 1770 d. June 22 - 1818"
"Benjamin Dungan son of Josiah & Mary b. Mar. 8 - 1794 Thursday at 5 o'clock in the evening and d. Sept. 11 - 1820"
"Sarah Butterworth Dungan dau. of Josiah & Mary b. Jan. 4 - 1797 Wednesday morning and d. Sept. 18 - '97.
"Maria Dungan dau. of Josiah & Mary b. Feb. 9 - 1799 and d. Feb. 19 - 1886"
"Sarah Dungan dau. of Josiah & Mary b. Jan. 20 - 1801 and d. July 1801"
"Joseph Butterworth Dungan son of Josiah & Mary b. Oct. 8 - 1802"
"Elizabeth Ann Dungan dau. of Josiah & Mary b. Jan 21 - 1805 and Died Jul 1806"
"Lettice Butterworth Dungan dau. of Josiah & Mary [followed by words "his wife" which have been crossed out] b. Oct. 23 - 1806 and died 5 mo. 23 - 1881"
The above is a copy of the dates and names in the original bible and was compared by me and is the same.
