Hi! Thanks for responding to my question! Is the word "FOSTER" a surname or referring to adoptive families such as foster families we have today? I descend from the daughter Mary that married John Houston and I seen the information on the book (Where it can be obtained and such.) But, I'm still thrown off by the term foster families and what it is referring to.
