To continue your Dungan info, I once again go to Justice:p. 154 John Dungan, son of James and Rebecca (Wells) Dungan, b. 1754, d. Mar. 22, 1798, in his 45th year (Tombstone Southampton). m. ca. 1776, Mary (Bennett?). "May 7, 1782, John Dungan, of Lower Dublin Township, Philadelphia County, Pa., Schoolmaster, and Mary his wife; Benjamin Dungan and Mary his wife, conveyed a tract of land to Jesse Dungan. The deed recites that March 9, 1753, John and Esther Wells conveyed to James Dungan, father of said John, Benjamin (p. 155) and Jesse, 167 acres in Lower Dublin, and that said James made his will Feb. 4, 1782, leaving to his son John '7 acres adjoining the house where he now lives', part of the aforesaid 167 acres, and remainder to his sons Benjamin and Jesse." (Phila. Deed Book H. 3, page 184). The part that went to John, was on the road between Oxford and Lower Dublin and adjoined land of Joseph Shallcross and John Paul. John Dungan served in the Revolutionary War as a private in the 2nd Battalion, 2nd Company, Philadelphia County Militia, Lieutenant Colonel Benjamin McVaugh, 1780, Captain Thomas Holmes. Executors: wife Mary and brother Benjamin [[my ancestor]]. Witnesses: John Bennett and John Corson. Issue: Uriah, Rebecca, Jonathan, Esther adn Elizabeth." Goodluck.
