Perhaps your J.R.Dungan of Summerfield KS is a descendent of John B. and Anna (Pratt) Dungan. John (1827-1906) farmed in Clay County KS and both John and wife Anna are buried in Clay County. John is the son of Benjamin B & Elizabeth (DeLaBar) Dungan. John was born in Indiana, traveled to Illinois in a covered wagon, and later moved to Kansas. Father Benjamin is a descendent of Thomas and Elizabeth (Weaver) Dungan. Let me know if you want more information on the Illinois/Kansas/Nebraska branch of the Dungan family.
