According to p. 152 of Alfred R. Justice's "Ancestry of Jeremy Clarke of Rhode Island and Dungan Genealogy" published circa 1917 by Franklin Printing Co. of Philadelphia, Mary MORGAN, b. 22 Jul. 1748, d. 14 Aug. 1824, dau. of Abel and Elizabeth (HOWELL) MORGAN and granddaughter of Rev. Abel MORGAN, who emigrated from Monmouthshire circa 1712, married Capt. Benjamin DUNGAN (Justice #93)[my ancestor]as his 2nd wife ca. 1781.Their issue (page 153) were: James, Matilda and George.[Mary's mother Elizabeth (HOWELL) MORGAN, a dau. of Reynold and Mary (GEORGE) HOWELL, believe it or not, was the second wife of Benjamin's father James DUNGAN.
I used Capt. DUNGAN successfully when applying for membership in the Sons of the Revolution. He was in Col. Benjamin McVaugh's 2nd Battalion, Philadelphia Militia, during the years 1780, 1781 and 1782.He was prominent in Church affairs, serving as Deacon of the Pennypack Baptist Church for 34 years [there is a memorial there stating this and it can be found/seen on a DUNGAN website www.geocities.com/Colosseum/8466/tomb1.jpg ].

The book runs the descendants down to the early 1900's, i.e., just before publication circa 1917.
