I have Martha as being born in Marden, Wiltshire, but we are talking about the same family. Thanks to contacts I have made and a recent trip to the UK I have this line back to Thomas Durnford who was born in the early 1600s and died in 1686 in All Cannings, Wiltshire. William's name on his marriage certificate (married 16 Nov 1839)is also listed as "Durnford". The surname goes back and forth between "Durnford" and "Dunford" but in the English records it is mainly spelled with the 'r'. I can send you what I have on the family if you would like. You can email me at the above address.
