I don't know if this is the same George de Dundas that you have in mind, but the dates fit!

Sir George de Dundas, born circa 1285, killed at the Battle of Dupline, 1332;
son of Sir Hugh de Dundas, d. abt 1310;
Hugh was the son of Saer de Dundas, d. abt 1296;
Saer was the son of Radulphus de Dundas, d. abt 1240;
Radulphus, the son of Helias de Dundas, b. abt 1202, d. 1229;
Helias (II) was the son of Serle de Dundas, b. abt 1170;
Serle was the son of Helias de Dundas, b. abt 1140;
Helias (I) was the son of Huctred, b. abt 1100.

Huctred is generally seen as the "founding father" of the Dundas clan. You will find some history of the early Dundases on the new Clan Dundas web page: www.dundas.co.za/

Hope this helps.
