Looking to find anyone who might know more about James S. Dunkerson and wife Fenetta who were on the 1850/60 census for Mercer Co. Lindley Twp., Missouri. The following is on the 1850: James S. Dunkerson age 27 abt 1823 Illinois school teacher wife, Fenetta age 25 Kentucky son William 3 Missouri dau Lucinda 6/12mo Missouri 1860: J. S. Dunkerson 37 farmer Illinois Faneta 36 Kentucky son W. N.(or M.) 12 Missouri son J. J. 9 Iowa dau M. A. 9 Iowa dau Sarah E. 7 Missouri A few lines up on this same census is a John Dunkerson age 65 Kentucky wife, E. A. (age not clear looks like 44) Virginia son M. V. 19 Illinois dau Charlotte J. 9 Iowa dau Melissa E. 4 Iowa Also found at the Dunkeson/Dunkerson Cemetery in Harrrison Twp., a Mary E. daughter of J.S. and F. Dunkerson death date Oct 23 1846. My g-grandfather was Joseph J. Dunkerson, I'am hoping he is the J. J. mentioned above in the 1860 census. This would be about the right age for him. My Joseph married Lorinda Badgerow. Lorinda and her family lived at one time at Speedwell Twp., St. Clair Co., and was on th 1870 census. Later on the 1880 Lowell, Cherokee Co., Kansas census I found Joseph, Lorinda and daughter Violet. Violet's birthplace is given as Missouri. By 1900 this family was living in Lancaster Twp., Crawford Co., Arkansas with the following children: Walter L. Ira I. Theodoshia (my grandmother) Mattie P. (Martha Pearl) Delila D. Nora E. Bertha B. Anyone who might have informatin to share on any of the above mentioned people please contact me. Thanks, Floretta Notify Administrator about this message?
