Thomas Duncanson b. May 20, 1763 VA served in the Revolutionary War. Married Lucretia Moore Dec. 3, 1785 in VA. Moved to Christian Co., KY in 1810 and died there on July 1, 1835. Lived near Col. James Duncanson and wife Mary McCauley Duncanson while in VA. James died in 1790 and his wife preceeded him. James came to Virginia from Murray Co., Scotland in 1754. He was born there in 1735. Thomas Duncanson was baptised in the Protestant Church in Rockingham Co., VA early in life. I have not been able to identify his parents. I do not believe that they are James and Mary Duncanson. There was a Robert Duncanson who owned a Shop in Fredricksburgh, VA which had ties with two gentlemen in London by the names of Ninnian and Boog. Robert died in VA in the early 1760's and his brother, a Doctor Thomas Duncanson in Scotland granted power of attorney to settle the affairs of Robert to James Duncanson. It may be possible that Robert was Thomas Duncanson's (1763-1835) father. If anyone has any information or ideas, please respond.
Thomas Duncanson was also known as Thomas Dunkerson.
