Dunaway's in Mississippi

After a little research I have found that there was more than one Jessie Dunaway in the late 1800’s in Walthall, Pike & Amite counties.

I know that in Walthall, Pike & Amite counties you can’t throw a stick without hitting a couple of Dunaway’s. There are a lot of them and always have been. So finding people with the same name is not all that surprising.

Now – this is what my records show. If you have records contradicting these, or other information to add/offer. I would love to hear from you. =)

- There was a Jessie Allen Dunaway (Born abt.1860) who married a Samantha in 1881. * No children recorded with this couple.
- Another J.F Dunaway (who was born in 1831 according to LDS records) who married a C.A.M Dunaway. They had the following children. – N.P, W.L., E.A.O., & J.J.
** However I have a hard time believing this. C.A.M would have had to be about 4yrs old when her 1st son was born. There appear to be many errors in this record.
- Jesse Dunaway who was born abt. 1838. (1850 Pike Co. census) who was the son of George & Pamela Dunaway.
- Jesse F. Dunaway who was born 1833 (1850 Pike Co. census & LDS records) who was the son of Perley and Sarah Dunaway.– who married Clara Thornhill Dunaway and had the following children: Alice, Lafayette ‘Fate’, N., Parrum ‘Parm’, Joseph J. & Judie E.

This is how I am related to the Dunaway’s, Judie was my G-Grandmother.

I would really appreciate any further input on this family.
Thanks,
Jodi
