Well, looks like I have not much to add but confusion, but in researching my Wilburns, I find them married into the Davenport line in Campbell Co VA...circa 1790...and then there was a Jasper Newton Wilburn later on, and the Preston Wilburn was married to Tahitha Dunaway...and other families related to this family came out of PA and settled into KY...
(Fleming Co) Jourdans, Belts, Jones, Dunawayswere all kin before even settling into Fleming Co KY...and were also kin to Philip Williams another Rev War vet from PA who later settled into Giles, VA...It is hard to explain without driving folks crazy in the process, but I feel that William Dunaway of the Rev War in PA is the ancestor of these later KY Dunaways and their descendants...lots of arrows point in this direction..but please do not hold my feet to the fire if I'm wrong here...But as of now this is how I am reading these old records.
Cheers from San Diego
