Searching for information re S.P. Dunaway
born in Va. Feb.24,1807 died May 8,1871 and spouse Sarah Dunaway born in Richmond County Va Nov.15,1806 died Madison County, Tn Sept. 2,1875. Both are buried Ebenezer Presbyterian Cemetary, Denmark, Tn. Other Dunaway burials same cemetary: Susan Wineford Dunaway Aug. 30,1848--Sept.19,1850 and Martha E. Dunaway 1837 or 1847--1853.
Attempting to determine if this family is associated with Rev William M. Dunaway(Cumb. Pres.) born Lancaster County,Va Jan 24, 1811 died Aug 22,1872 buried Riverside Cemetary, Jackson, Tn spouse Sarah Dunaway Mar 3, 1817 died Mar 1,1874 , son William E. Dunaway 1841--1918 (both also buried at Riverside with his wife Lula).
My known Dunaway line: Robert Dunaway born Nov 9,1826 died Dec.2,1860 buried Rochelle Cemetary Madison Co.,Tn Spouse Mahulda G. York Dunaway born Davidson Co.,Tn July 7,1826 died Jackson,Tn Dec.30,1911 (buried Riverside) Their children Samuel P. Dunaway(died as child); James Opie Dunaway born Nov.9,1850; Mary Ann Dunaway April 24,1849-Dec.31,1914 (my ggm) Married John Henry Clay Matthews; and possible fourth child Sallie E. Dunaway who married Dr William R. Cole, Jackson,Tn. Any information re above much appreciated.
