Dear John, I know your frustration in trying to locate your James Dunaway. I think every Dunaway named a child James! Where in South Georgia did he settle? There is a James A. Dunaway born around 1827 to Timothy C. and Elizabeth Knox Dunaway. Elizabeth was from NC, so she might have been there for the birth of a child. They settle in Stewart County, GA. I do not know who this James married, so it is a possibility.
