I am a descendent of James William Herndon (brother of your grt-grt grandfather) and Ella Weinberg. (James is son of Andrew Jackson Herndon and Mary Jane Dunaway). I am curious if you know how and when they got from Orange Co., VA to Wyandot Co., OH. His first wife died in Carey, OH. I have her name as Ledelia Carothers. After marrying Ella Weinberg, his second wife, James moved to Three Rivers, MI, where he and Ella are buried.

I am also curious if you have any specifics about Andrew Jackson Herndon's Virginia ancestors. My solid links stop with Andrew Jackson Herndon, but I know that the Herndons were an early (and prolific) Virginia family.
