Hello i have been working on my family tree and am a member of ancestry.com. I have a delema..my Grandfather who is living claims his father was adopted and no family. I have discovered this to be false. I found Doc a cencus where Eliza Dunaway Married a William Hildreth in 1888. I have found where Pat Dunaway was living with them at this time. Pat is listed as eliza's brother. No other dunnaways are listed in this.
i have found a Birth record for eliza Dunaway listing J.W. Dunaway as the father, ansd Margaret Elston as the mother.
This would make J.W Dunaway Pats father. I cant find a mother for pat. I know im in the right family because my Grandfather gave us a box of old pics he said he had for years but didnt know who they were. well he never read the back of them because it had his name on some his bros on some and cousins who match in the desendants of J.W. but no mother found?
Any info on J.W. or leads would be awsome! My grandfather is from stewart Co and i know im right there just need that lil Tip! Heres a break down of them:
My grandpa
Leonard Dunaway
his parents:
Pat-Pete-Thadous-Dunaway and Alma MCcoy
His father:
John.W.Dunaway.
