I am lookinmg for any male descendant of Moses Dunaway b. 1819 in Kentucky m. Alcey Ketchum that would be willing to have their DNA tested at FamilyTree DNA. Or any descendant of the following Dunaway men.
Moses had three sons William, Mason Brown and Milo.
William b. 25 Feb 1849 in Owsley County, Kentucky m. Quintilla Ann Estes had sons George Madison, Charles, David, Anthony.
David m. 1st Ida Pitman, 2nd Rebecca Moore, 3rd Ora Fugate. Had sons Thomas and Roscoe by Rebecca Moore, had son living Shephard by Ora Fugate.
My ggrandfather John Henry Freeman changed his name and never told anyone his real surname. My DNA matched 65 out of 66 markers with a man who strongly beleives his greatgrandfather was David Dunaway b. 16 Jan 1880 in Beatville, Lee County, Kentucky, but we have no positive proof. The DNA from a known descendant of any of these Dunaway ancestors would help us to solve our delima.
If any descendant of the above Dunaway men would contact me it would be very greatly appreciated.
