I don't know if it's a maiden or married name. We think she was from KY.
Let me start out by introducing myself and the mission I’m on. My name is Marilyn Erickson and I’m trying to help a very dear friend of mine locate her birth mother.
Linda Page Thorp was born September 21, 1954 in Fayette County , Kentucky . Certificate number 53614. Originally filed October 26,1954. She was adopted by Virginia Page Thorp and Thomas R. Thorp. Both are now deceased and Linda has no adopted brothers or sisters. We know nothing about the circumstances of her adoption at all. I grew up with her in Dayton , Ohio . She now lives alone in Waynesville , NC .
Very recently, someone was able to match the number on her birth certificate to an original birth certificate of the same number. The mother’s name on the birth certificate was Joan Dunaway. It also gives the name Joan Dunaway II as that of the child.
I know we’re grasping at straws, so we’re sending letters to everyone we can find that even has a remote chance of being part of her birth family. If you know of this Joan Dunaway or are part of the family of a Joan Dunaway that may fit who we’re looking for, please contact us.
