Dear Milly- Isaac Dunnaway was married to Mary Ann (Tolson) in the Overwarton Parish of Stafford County, VA 1754. Their son Benjamin was born in 1757. Benjamin went to Kentucky and settled in Boonsborough in the late 1770's. He is alleged to have been married to Cynthia Goosey, but I have never seen documentation of this. In 1792, we find him married to a woman named Sarah (Evans, I believe) Their son Benjamin Evans Duniway, is who I believe you are referring to in your message to Elaine Dunaway, was born in 1803 near a town now called Trapp, six miles south of Boonesborough. His brother—and my ancestor—David, migrated to Pike County, IL between 1828 and 1836. In 1852, Benjamin Evans Duniway traveled the Oregon Trail to Oregon. By this time he had lost 4 wives, his last one died on the trail. Benjamin's family prospered in Oregon and is well documented. His great son, now deceased, was a friend of mine. His daughter-in-law, Abigail Jane Scott Duniway was the first woman to vote in Oregon. She was married to Benjamin's son, Benjamin Charles Duniway.
