Greetings!
George and Mary Tainsh were my 4th ggrandparents (maternal) descending through their son George (1806-1858)+ Helen Dow's (1805-1876)daughter Janet (~1848) + George Ferguson (~1846), their son George Paris (1873 - 1933)+ Kathryn Masterton (1876-1945), their son William Bernard (1898-1955)+Evangeline Brown(1898-1987), my grandparents. Based on dates from their youngest daughter Mary's birth and the Canadian census, George, Janet and family emigrated from Scotland to Canada sometime between July 4th, 1880 and the date of the 1881 Canadian Census.
I will be more than happy to share what limited information I have--I have been struggling with this family for years!
