Susan, since I last wrote to you I have moved from the East Coast to California, retired, then for the past year have gone back to work as a sexton in the parish of All Saints, Beverly Hills, CA. Actually, we live in West Hollywood. Have so little time to spend on genealogy, but love what I am able to do.

It is good that so many people are interested in the Dumford and allied families. I have mainly worked on the children of Michael Dumford, with the hope that records about them would give more information about him and his wife.

Have you seen the "original" will of Michael? Does it still exist? The transcript in the "Burnt Records of Fayette Co, KY" seems to be the only key to his children's names. It is very unsatisfactory evidence for me...but is the only list we have.

Have you found any "new" information in the past two years about Michael or his children?

I will try to start a time-line on Michael Dumford and his children here on this site. I hope others will add to it so that we can get a list of the known facts and citations to where the evidence is from. Bill
