According to the Montgomery County history, Christian Dull served in the Revolutionary war and was killed at the battle of Germantown. His son Christian was a gentleman farmer, taking much pride in keeping his farm in the best possible condition and having one of the neatest and most ornamental farms in the county., It was located near Mont Clare, where he owned his farm and cultivated it on scientific principles. They were affiliated with the Lutheran Church. His wife was Elizabeth Essick. They had children: daughters 1.Mary, 2.Margaret, and 3.Catharine who were not married. 4. Elizabeth,(Mrs Henry Boyer)
5. Sarah (Mrs R Coates, 6. Hannah, wife of Rev John Davis a Presbyterian minister, 7. Theresa (Mrs Samuel Custer),
8. and son Charles who was engaged in the stationery and paper business in Philadelphia. Elizabeth Dull and her husband Henry Boyer had children 1. Manasses, a blacksmith; Charles, and Ephraim D Boyer. Ephraim was born and raised in Limerick Twp in Montgomery county. He was raised to farm but kept in line with the old tradition of the family and became a blacksmith. He married Rebecca Kline and settled permanently at Evansburg. Rebecca was daughter of Gabriel Kline and Miss Kruff. Ephraim and Rebecca had children: 1. Matilda, married James K Espenship) and 2. Henry K, prominent in Pennsylvania politics. Matilda and James K Espenship had three children:1. Rebecca Grace, unmarried and received a liberal education and has occupied a position at Harrisburg for fourteen years 2. Henry Stanley, holds a position in the US mint at Philadelphia, and 3. Clarence B, who also works in the mint. Both Henry and Clarence were soldiers in the Spanish-American War. They belonged to the Episcopal Church.
