Paula,

Though I can't help you directly, and you are more current with family connections than I, let me see what I might add, just because, ok?

Your name is Wood. If it is German do you know the other spellings of the name? I know Baum to be one variation of German. There are many.

Dull, is that French or what, so many possible variations. Have you tried Dulles?etc.

The (excuse spelling) Oriele? would be an easy name for others to mess up mostly depending on the Nationality of the person that may have written it down. Hope you have tried with an "A" too, there is Aurial and many times vowels were spelled differently. Example for ease: William is Villiam in German and even Wilhem. I know that isn't a vowel, but I though it a good example.

My Grandmother I thought would be so easy to find with the name Eurilla, I haven't found it correct on census anywhere. Someone sent me something showing her name starting with an 'A' and I know that not to be correct per family. Names are often written backwards too. I had a Bernard Cleve---- uncle, he is found as Clevis B and the last name spelled differently on the census. All his siblings names were backwards. Thank goodness I knew their complete real names and was able to figure it out with Grandma's.

I see you had Anderson, and though I don't have much on any connection to my Robinson's, I am told they are. I have only found one way back.

There is a Wood(s) in my line of extended family, and the only thing I know about Isaac Wood(s) is he was the second husband of my GG-Grandmother's sister, Dorsey, Darcy, etc many spellings. Her name married to Isaac was Elizabeth Dorsey, House (etc), Wood(s) b 1821 in Ohio.

I would be glad to give suggestions but don't feel I have any direct information that will help you.

To find more information for names and other spellings, might I suggest you use Goodgle and request soundex names for those you are searching. You might recognize something back in your mind that might mean something.

Gosh, I don't even know how I surfed in here. I was looking at a message reply from a Slagle. Saw Olson somewhere and that trigger a thought of a name my Mom once mentioned and away I go.

Let me get back to answering my relpy. Good luck.
