My great-grandfather, Jefferson Davis Dulaney, was the son of Nelson Dulaney. Nelson married Elmina Lucinda Durham in Jackson County, Alabama, in 1851. They moved to Coryell County, Texas, before the war. JD was born there in 1861. Nelson died there, and the rest of the family moved to Nolan County.
I have Bible records for Dulaney, Durham, and Green families. It looks like Nelson was the son of A W and Mariah Dulaney. Most records list his birth in VA. I cannot find records for this family. The Bible is torn, so I do not have all the names, but some of them include: John, b 1811, and Alexander W., both 1824.
