Hello,
I am seeking information on Evelyn Byrd Lee Dulaney, who was born in 1843 in or about Leesburg, Va., and who died in 1930 in Staunton, Va. I am researching her to write a story about her life. Her obituary states that she was one of the famous Virginia Lees, and that she was an ardent Confederate during the Civil War. Her adventures taking things through the Union lines to Confederate soldiers is quite interesting.
One daughter is listed as having survived her - Mrs. V.L. Artopoeus of Montclair, N.J.
I am at a dead standstill with this. Does anyone out there know of this woman? Please contact me if you do. Many thanks.
